Gameplay mechanics changing is separate from her actual lore. She never loses skills, though sometimes I expand upon lore of discipline changes within the #Lylaverse
For example, in this #Lylafic, Lyla doesn't know what these corvids in the Brume want with her, why they're paying her, why she has a weird taste in her mouth as some sense of hers reacts, etc
They're thanking her because Fray fatally threw someone abusive off a wall, which Lyla would not have done

I also have this #Lylafic featuring the Cornservant and how Zhai'a Nelhah senses them after he goes looking for Lyla at the docks (because she never came back from an errand). Zhai'a can't perceive them as well as Lyla at first and ends up overexerting himself trying to communicate with them

Cute fluffy moment example, in this #Lylafic "Morsel", Aymeric and Estinien bring Lyla breakfast because they know she's just been up all night reading in Borel Manor's library, which Aymeric had renovated with her in mind
My favorite part of this #Lylafic is Zhai'a's glasses fogging up as they get out of the carriage, which was cold due to Lyla because she uses cold via ice magic, thaumaturgy, etc to stay cool (physically and emotionally)
but Zhai'a doesn't have his lenses enchanted against as much as Lyla does
