The Jupiter-8 is a good lens, and sure, Soviet quality control wasn't the best, so maybe mine isn't the prime example of the breed. But this Canon 50mm f/1.8 just crushes it. Better contrast, better sharpness ... it's just the look I want on the IIIf.

This is a picture of stacked images while doing #astophotography on perseid meteor shower. I think it was in 2021. Using nova.astrometry.net the astrometric calculations show the visible #constellations in the image. You can also see: #NGC682, #NGC7008, #M39, #IC5146 ( #ElephantsTrunk) and #IC1369.
