SO MANY. 1) The 'good death' they're selling is a myth. The drugs are poorly researched. It can take up to 108 hrs to die. MANY horror stories. Any you can share? I've been posting using #MaidIsMurder, (I have to check provenance as some publications that have been most vocal aren't ones I'd choose to share & one slipped through that someone kindly flagged was from a less-than-ideal publication). Lots of academic research on the issues too.

If it goes as it has in Canada then yes, sadly www.cambridge.org/core/service... (see #MaidIsMurder for more stories of #disabled Canadians being culled as they were poor, needed support & didn't get it. Be warned, you'll need a strong stomach. It's why so many of us are terrified of it coming here)

As to why: because we're always the canaries in the coal mine. Last week, they were trying to kill us (not hyperbole: see #MaidIsMurder for what's happening in Canada. Also www.cambridge.org/core/service...) Now, they're going for slower death (or fast if suicidal) by threatening security/stability.

The most shockingly dystopian story I've read is about a young woman with #EDS (same as me) who appeared in an advert for a clothes company TO SELL CLOTHES focussed on why she 'chose' MAID. Useful tip: TY for sharing. Anything that might help us avoid sick people dying is very much appreciated. See also #MaidIsMurder - but only if you have a strong stomach. It's truly heart-breaking, #dystopian and needs stopping globally. #Disabled (& all) people deserve care, not #GovernmentalMurder.

It was the story that broke me and made me determined to fight as hard as I can to stop it happening to anyone else. It's literally governments murdering people for being disabled (and poor) - hence #MAIDisMurder tag. It feels unreal. I REALLY wish it was.

Sorry if it's traumatic. When I first saw it, I went into a depression for months: she was over 10 years younger than me & didn't want to die. Canada was supposed to be one of the good places. Search #MAIDisMurder for LOTS more (eg veteran wanted a wheelchair ramp: was offered MAID) Is tough reading

Heard the one about the 37 year old woman with #EDS who didn't want to die & was killed by the government, but only after making an 'inspirational' advert for a fashion brand, selling clothes off the back of her death?
