Ode to Chairs To the chairs in my bathroom and kitchen Thanks for allowing me to bathe and cook To the chairs in public spaces, also benches Thanks for allowing me to find a place to rest To the chairs on buses and planes Due to your stiffness there is no thanks To the chairs at restaurants, also booths Thanks but after a while standing up for relief one must To the chairs that have wheels, also scooters Thanks for as in a flare a moment outside still one can share To the chairs at stations and trains marked reserved Thanks to those who have kindly recognized I needed to sit To the chairs I have failed to mentioned in this ode Don't despair, surely one day will come my butt you shall support. All #Spoonies know the importance of seating! Sadly, #CarletonPlace has a lack of public seating so I have been advised to take my #wheelchair everywhere. The issue is loading & unloading it, so my hunt is on to find a vehicle that will hold it.
