And that's the thing. In Yuru Camp, we see how the hobby of camping has changed Rin and Nadeshiko as characters. We barely get that in #Mono unless you count that ending.

Unlike Yuru Camp which has focus, #Mono felt all over the place which is disappointing considering how promising the 1st episode was and how it set things up. I even mentioned there were times that I felt Haruno and her exploits hijacked and sort of derailed the series. 😐

Final thoughts on #Mono. It's...ok overall. The big positives is we got cool and different animation styles for this anime adapted from Afro's manga. Yuru Camp can get static in comparison.
Definitely keeping an eye on this new studio; they got talented peeps onboard.
Unfortunately....

#Mono Final Ep. - The girls are finally doing the Cinema in the Cinephoto Club! They decided on going all "Blair Witch Project" type of horror movie. And NOW we're introducing the new character named Tajima! 😅😂
I will say there's a really good twist that made things come to full circle.

Anyways, after the excursion, they all got soba that they made themselves! And then they went to a ninja-themed escape the mansion which looks fun as hell! Sakurako is certainly in her element. 😎

Somehow everyone except Satsuki went teary eyed on the construction of a dam, and there was a giant ass hill that ski jumpers used. Even that was too much for An and Sakurako. 😱😂

We do get a pretty sick animated scene of those two skateboarding downhill near the end so thankfully the ep. wasn't all for naught! 'Cuz, well, there were setbacks due to spoopy stuff and chasing cats. 😅

If Afro wanted to do a series about a manga-ka's exploits instead of the high school girls' photo club, they could have been upfront about it. But I suspect it's more editorial decision considering they want another Yuru Camp hit. 🤔

I am amused how Kurokuma's anime adaptations of her works have literal cursed production issues, but man. We're nearly halfway in the series, and it feels like I got bait-and-switched from how the show started. 🤔
