After playing with Hydro-man at the prerelease, I must say that he has the same issue as Dryad Arbor.
Unless I moved it to my lands for the opponent's turn, they would definitely think I have an extra blocker.
Might become an issue if this reaches beyond casual play.

one of my proudest accomplishments was working with a guy in the #mtgjudge irc channel in like 2018 to prove that Herald of Leshrac doesn't work at all under the rules as written, because the CR doesn't admit for continuous effects being created by costs. this is still true!

Modern today was pretty interesting. A fee new ideas from players involving Jeskai midrange with Narset, and the expected Ugin-tron with the dragon boy!

I want to say that I get a copy of the omen then exile the spell, and when the time counters run out I can cast the dragon half or the omen half

When a life total “becomes x” a player gains or loses life to make that change.
How does that interact if you have an effect triggers when you gain life.
Does it change to x and then get the additional 1?
So this would be 21 after all is said and done?
