Pencil drawn comic; a knight transformed into a snail is being cared for by his friend, Sir Simon, who notices another snail has appeared. Sir Simon's asks his fairy friend Zephyr where the other snail came from and Zephyr says they thought the cursed snail could use a playmate. Sir Simon observes the snails uneasily and is shocked when they begin engaging in some unseen but presumably intimate behavior. He asks Zephyr what they're doing, to which the fairy simply replies they think he knows 🪄✨

Digitally drawn comic depicting a fairy accidentally dropping a cartoonish mallet with wings on its sides onto the head of a muscular man with long black hair and a beard. What appears to be a bump forms on his head but then it springs out and upward as a ball attached to an antennae. The man, Sir Simon, reaches up toward the ball but his hands suddenly begin to shrink. His arms and ears start rapidly sprouting fur and a massive tuft of fur puffs up over his chest 🪄✨

Sir Simon begins to lose his balance as the shrinking and fur growth continues to spread over his whole body. His legs grow so short he tips over and falls to the floor, nearly fully transformed into a moogle in a pile of his now much too large clothes

The fairy, Zephyr, flies around Sir Simon to examine him as he sits himself up after his fall. He wonders if his transformation is over, but Zephyr quips "Not quite" as a pair of wings fan out from his back. Sir Simon begins to lift up off the floor thanks to his new wings and involuntarily utters his first "kupo." Zephyr and Sir Simon both excitedly fly off with each other in the air as Sir Simon shouts another joyful "Kupo!"

Fetching the legendary Kupo Hammer for Cyril, a little accident on Zephyr's part at least proves the artifact is the real deal

Was thinking about this again. Perhaps Zephyr was the one to show Sir Simon to the spring. Being such a long lived entity, Zephyr had no idea the kind of rejuvenating effect the water would have on a human and just wanted to give Sir Simon an energy boost

Sir Simon fairy food induced weight gain thoughts 😌🧵

Digital sketches at varying degrees of roughness, some being refined and others being largely gestural. The sketches are all of an agender fairy, Zephyr, as well as a sketch of a human disguise they can don. The sketches explore a few ideas for hairstyles and body types, with long hair either slicked back or hanging over one eye, to short hair with longer bangs and either a lithe build or a slightly chubby one. Their clothing is an eclectic mix of foliage and fabric. The disguise looks like a gruff, very hairy bear of a person with a thick beard and long, bushy hair. Not depicted in the sketch, but the disguise is somewhere between a transformation and a glamour; Zephyr can tangibly interact with the environment and other bodies like one would expect, but this appearance is very easily discarded at will. 🪄✨

Exploring ideas for Zephyr (and their human bear disguise).

The contrast between a lithe fairy form and a chubby, hairy human form is fun, but I've also been thinking to make them a little chubby by default anyway.
