Myriam spent about eight months in the Hells with Karlach and Wyll. They parted ways with the Blade of Avernus shortly after getting Karlach's engine fixed. Wyll had his new duties, Karlach was more than ready to leave Avernus behind forever, and well...Myriam had unfinished business with a certain Vampire Ascendant. Her companions advised her to let go and move on, but she couldn't, not when she felt like it was her fault he was now like that, too. In that crucial moment, he had turned to her. She could have - should have - stopped him. But she just froze. She knew killing him wouldn't be easy, but she had to at least try. Astarion didn't seem surprised. Last they'd seen each other, they both knew this moment would come. He sent his servants away, to have this final dance with Myriam alone. It was the toughest battle they both ever fought, tougher more that they were no longer on the same side. Then came the moment Myriam was counting on: Astarion made a mistake. She had one chance to drive his own dagger, one he had gifted her, through his heart. But she hesitated, missed, and he gained advantage. Myriam lost the momentum and Astarion could do anything to her now - kill her slowly and painfully, no doubt. He took her blood for the last time, only enough to make her dizzy and weak, then he stepped aside and let her stumble out of the palace. Somehow, Myriam found her way back home, and she knew damn well next time he won't be so generous. Well, if she will ever give him next time, she won't hesitate, but for now, she promised to Karlach to leave it. For now, she would pretend he's dead to her - try to, at least. Just for now. If he was to become a real problem, she'd come knocking on his door. *Alt text continued below*

It's late again but eh, last part of the Myri yap for #MyOCWeekBG3! What do we do next, do I repost Ross or start working on Zeph? Maybe both at once.

Myriam: Battle Spores: As a spore druid, Myriam can and will gladly inflict a lot of necrotic damage on her enemies. She's always casting Spreading Spores and often brings fungal zombies to tough battles. She has learned a lot from the myconid colony she visited in the Underdark, too. Quarterstaves: Myriam's preferred weapons are quarterstaves. For most of her first adventure, she used the Mourning Frost that she acquired and put together in the Underdark, and later she replaced it with the Staff of Cherished Necromancy after defeating Mystic Carrion in Baldur's Gate. Owlbear: When things get difficult and the party is on the verge of losing the battle, owlbear is a go-to wildshape for Myriam. It's her favourite beast to turn into even outside of battle. If you see her taking a nap in this form, leave quickly, you do not want to know how sharp those claws are. Potions: You can count on Myriam to always carry alchemical ingredients in her pack to quickly whip up exactly the elixir you need to get through the day. Or poison that might come in handy when sneaking up on an enemy. Need a sip of something special? Myriam probably knows of a mushroom that will help.

Myriam - Hobbies Mushrooms: As a spore druid, Myriam spends a lot of time in the forest picking mushrooms. She also has her own mushroom garden...feeding on the dead bodies of her enemies. Yeah. Underdark: Although she missed the surface world, the Underdark and its inhabitants enchanted Myriam. With the new revelations of her orgins, she's determined to learn as much as she can about it. Singing: In another life, she would've been a bard. Although she's not trained, her voice is lovely, she enjoys singing, and she could certainly learn to play an instrument too once all the dangers are sorted out. Wandering: Myriam loves going for long walks and getting lost in her thoughts. Fields, forests or the city, it doesn't really matter. She's a very social person, but sometimes she just wants to be alone. Flower Crowns: Whenever she is bored, sad, nervous or just needs to get her hands busy, you can find Myriam making flower crowns, either for herself or her friends and loved ones. She's always wearing some flowers in her hair.

Oh yeah I forgot about #MyOCWeekBG3 yesterday, blame a certain delivery service pissing me off and getting me way too anxious 😂 Anyway, hobbies!

Before she was kidnapped, Myriam was never truly in love. There were short romantic flings with people who lived in a village nearby, but that was it, neither party called it love. At first, that's how Myriam approached romance with her new companions as well, but then two made her heart beat fast. Myriam wasn't fond of Astarion at first and only reluctantly accepted him as an ally in this race against tadpoles, but started falling for him as they got to know each other better. She saw the best in him and tried to guide him to see it too, but ultimately failed when she couldn't talk him out of ascending. The moment she stood there, frozen, hesitant, she will regret forever. She broke up with him the very same night. To Myriam, the ritual had made him irredeemably evil, the man she loved was dead, and she'd better start preparing for her next task: Once the Grand Design is dealt with, she will have to take the Vampire Ascendant down. Little did she know how their fates would intertwine for centuries to come, in ways she couldn't predict. Or could she? Falling for Karlach was much simpler. Sparks flew instantly. Karlach was hot (not just literally), but Myriam also loved her sense of humor, her strength, honesty, personality and what she fought for and believed in. Myriam never, not even for a moment, accepted that the fixes for Karlach's engine would be only temporary. She would tear the Hells apart just to find a solution. Luckily, it didn't require that much in the end, but the time the two spent in Avernus together was the hardest, most intense in their relationship. It made their bond unbreakable. It wasn't easy for Karlach to move on after Astarion had changed, but compared to Myriam, she took it rather well. Most of their life together, they easily pretended he was dead to them. She mourned him and missed him as if he truly was. But he was watching, and Myriam was watching him too. The final chapter of their tale was yet to be written.

A question Myriam has asked since her childhood and never got the answer. Her origins were obscured to her, and her father, Theran, rarely spoke of what he did before they ended up in Baldur's Gate, or what her mother was like. All Myriam knew was that they were running away from something or someone that wanted to hurt them, and Rowarin, her mother, didn't make it. She could've saved herself, but instead she got herself arrested to buy time for him and Myriam. Theran escaped to Baldur's Gate with the baby and hid among the poorest of the poor. That's where Myriam spent her childhood. While he was healing people of the community with what little he could find, Myriam tried to do the same for animals, or played with the other children. Her father tried to keep her from the "bad crowds", but Myriam still became friends with a bunch of little thieves. Among them, she found a best friend, a half-orc girl named Arishi. They dreamed about taking over the city when they grow up, righting every wrong, punishing everyone responsible for the suffering of their community...but then Arishi got caught in the act and wounded while running away. Myriam's father did his best, but he could not save the girl. It took Myriam ages to get over this loss, and she's not sure if she ever really moved on. She'd give anything to have Arishi back. During the adventure, she must quickly come to terms with using magic offensively in the midst of tense situations. WILD MAGIC Willow possesses a natural affinity for fire-based magic, which often has a tendency to spiral out of her control at the worst possible moments. Her wild magic manifests most violently when she experiences intense emotions while casting, such as anxiety or anger, leading to chaotic and unpredictable outcomes. MAGIC LESSONS Early in their journey, Gale offers to help Willow in training her abilities outside of combat. They spend most nights casting spells and studying together, and over time they learn that the more Willow uses her magic, the easier it is for her to control. Although she'll never be immune to the occasional wild magic surge, she slowly gains more and more confidence in herself thanks to Gale's guidance, finding each battle along the way a little bit easier to face than the last.

She always enjoyed collecting stones, beads, and other small trinkets that she could later incorporate into her own necklace, bracelet, and earring designs. After years of practice with the craft, Willow began selling some of her own creations in the shop, and her pieces were always a hit with customers who were looking for a gift with a more personal touch.

Tormented by grief, frequent emotional outbursts brought forth the manifestation of Willow's wild magic, but until this day the origin of her powers is still unknown. Unable to help her control her abilities, Willow's parents convinced her that magic was dangerous, encouraging her to conceal her powers by all means, and ultimately causing her to fear her magic. She love to run as a horse, play/run with the pack of wolves, and hides/sleeps as a cat.
