Yes! I've made some amazing friends. e.g., I found out about a #TwinPeaks Friday night (re)watch party during COVID. It made staying home bearable. And a few of those "strangers" are now close (IRL) friends.

Also, I don't think I could've finished my dissertation without #MadWriting on Twitter.
