Xylaria hypoxylon goes by many names including Candlesnuff/Candlestick Fungus and Carbon Antlers. Hopefully the resolution is sufficient to make out the spider webs that I imagine to be the energy being pulled in by the magical fungi.

These Candlesnuff fungi look like they're magical contorted hands pulling energy from the ether.

Let your imagination be the guide but to me this creature looks like some holding its hands in front of its body in a plotting way as its face displays a mischievous grin.

Such a mischievous plotting look for what should be an innocent looking Red Belted Conk....do they have plans for world dominance!? Let's hope so, we could use a fungal regime change.
