Mahanon came close to giving up on his part in the Inquisition very early on. He was in constant pain from the Anchor, carrying a lot of unresolved trauma and had no idea who to trust. If he'd felt able to go home, he might have done it there and then.

Not really. For a very long time, Mahanon wished for it. Now, he hates the thought of losing Dorian yet again and is actually managing to enjoy his life. He's not afraid of death exactly, but he wants more time with the people he loves before he has to leave them.

Mahanon has a love-hate relationship with solitude. It used to be a comfort when he couldn't trust the people around him, but now being alone often makes his anxiety worse. He spends a lot of time just quietly coexisting near his friends and loved ones, especially on bad days.

Mahanon fears the giant ones that live in the forest caves (for good reason), but otherwise doesn't mind them.

Felix often receives them as gifts from the cats, so he's used to finding them (usually dead) in random places. He hates when they get in his hair though.
