Butter runners?
Churn & burn?

No.
Don’t do this thing.
You shld not do this thing.

I assure you: You can make butter in 4 min by shaking cream & salt in a jar, as I teach kids to do by when we do this #MakeryBakery lesson in the library.

Don’t make sweaty bag butter.

Yay! Someone asked.

You nailed it.
Years back, I was weeding the atlases when we did the first #MakeryBakery and I’d forgotten about having something to cover the proofing dough balls…so, atlases. Tradition born. Kept them just for that purpose. Oh, and a pile for strength testing KEVAplank towers.

Let’s start this 🧵 with a Q:
Am I wise?
(as my #LibrarianFashion shirt suggests)
OR,
Am I a wild, misguided loon?
(as bizarro pic suggests)

Fri:
Caught up last few kids who needed to saw/sand/paint
(see 🧵).
The rest gridded out initials and began hammering their nails in
(setting up on Storytime/etc carpets absorbs a little of the noise).
Cool to have two dads volunteer with us today! One of those dads also helped w/ #MakeryBakery too!

Got all dressed up today in #LibrarianFashion with my latest Spiffster Club tie & socks…got to school, realized it was #MakeryBakery day.

Luckily, I’m a fastidious baker!

Orange you glad I didn’t get slimed?

The tie has micro penguins; Van Eyck tie knot, almost my signature; oranges on the socks.

I did my #MakeryBakery lesson with Gr2s in the library again today.

Freshly made bread smells wafting through the halls.

Freshly baked bread coming up—in the Lib!
I’ll be reviving my #MakeryBakery Gr 2 makerspace Sci lesson this Friday.
It was exciting to get an email today from another B.C. T-L asking for more info about that exact lesson because my it’s featured in her uni coursework! (prof asked me awhile back)
