It's gonna be technically impossible once #ManifestV2 code starts getting deleted but someone really needs to start maintaining a chrome fork with #mv2 still allowed.

Last night I moved my #Chrome #extension from #manifestv2 to #manifestv3, overall the docs were pretty good and it went better than I expected but there were some gotchas with the `activeTab` permissions. I also switched to #webpack.
