The #MarchIntoLandscape theme for today is #rain. This was a picture my husband took out the windshield of the car. We had never seen anything like it before. It’s a wall cloud that brought in a strong storm. We thought it looked like something from a sci-fi movie.

The towering mass of Stob Ghabar viewed across a snow and ice covered lochan. In the middles a small stand of silver birch cling to a rocky islet, the low winter sun casts strong shadows across the scene.

In the middle distance the shimmering waters of the loch form an edge to the sprawling moorlands that stretch to a range of mountains. The sky is almost full of cloud, where it breaks it allows sunlight to cast patches of brightness onto the scene.
