You are standing outdoors on a bright, sunny day under a clear, vivid blue sky with no clouds. You are standing outdoors on a sunny day in a rural, grassy farmyard. In the center of the image is a small, old-fashioned wooden outhouse or privy, built right against the side of a larger dark wooden barn or stable. The outhouse is made of weathered, silvery-gray planks with visible wood grain and knots. It has a simple slanted roof covered in light brown wooden shingles. A round ventilation hole is cut into the upper front wall. The door, made of the same wood but with a big diagonal “Z” brace, is wide open and swings outward to the right, revealing the interior. Inside the outhouse you can clearly see a raised wooden platform with a simple toilet seat on top. The seat has a curved wooden handle attached to the lid, making it easy to lift. Two small wooden steps lead up to the seat. The inside walls are also raw, aged wood, slightly darker and richer in tone than the outside.To the right, the big barn wall is much darker — almost chocolate brown — with heavy timber framing and criss-cross bracing visible. On the left side of the outhouse, green grass and weeds grow right up to the base, and in the background you see a sunny green meadow, a wooden fence, and leafy trees under a clear, pale blue sky. The whole scene feels peaceful, rustic, and historic — like a well-preserved piece of 19th-century farm life. The lighting is bright natural daylight, casting soft shadows under the roof overhang and on the gravel ground in front of the outhouse.

Pink and white blossom on a tree. Most blossom seems to come and go before the leaves are out, but not this lot. I've always associated this mix of pink, white, and green as indicating an apple tree. But Apple Photos told me it's a plum tree. I should have tried asking Plum Photos.
