Lucas struggled from the field vs the #UtahJazz, going 0-for-4 from the field and finished with 1 point, but he did gather a team-high 14 rebounds in 19 minutes off the bench. Lucas played 330 games with #Portland for a total of 4 1/2 season and 14 years overall in the #ABA and the #NBA. Lucas would move up the bench the following year, joining the staff of Portland coach #MikeSchuler for the 1988/89 season. In his first run with the Blazers, Lucas helped the team to the 1977 NBA Title and was selected to the NBA All-Star Games in 1977, 78, and 79. and was on the 1978 All-NBA Second team. Lucas was also named to the All-Defensive teams in 1978 and 1979.

Malone would top the point total six days later when the #Jazz eliminated the Blazers in 3 games to 1. #BobHansen added 23 points while #JohnStockton scored 20 and passed for 13 assists. #MarkEaton blocked 6 shots and grabbed 13 rebounds.

It is the 12th time Lucas has amassed a 20 point / 15 rebound game in his two seasons with the #Blazers and the fourth time he has recorded a 30/15 game. The win was the 57th overall for #Portland, one better than the Philadelphia 76ers who lost today. The Blazers had an 8-game lead vs #Philadelphia five weeks ago before injuries stalled the Blazers at 50-10.

In other news, tickets to watch the Blazers Closed Circuit TV PO action at Pacific University will go on sale on April 10. Tickets for students with ID will be $5 and $7.50 for adults. As well, the finals for the Pepsi #NBA #HotShot competition will be held on April 9 prior to the Blazers season finale vs the Los Angeles Lakers.
