Mike Murray departs as St. Joseph baseball coach, Cranford’s McCaffery comes out of retirement to lead Falcons St. Joseph-Metuchen didn't take long to find a new baseball coach. Mike Murray has stepped down as head coach of the Falcons to spend more time with family, and the school has hired former Cranford skipper Dennis McCaffery to replace him, it announced Friday afternoon. McCaffery spent 25 years at Cranford before retiring this past September. And he finished up his run as principal at the Lincoln School in Cranford in December after 27 years.
