The #pedophile who abused me was “respectable”: married, five kids (one my best friend), churchgoer, family doctor, played tennis and music. The perfect disguise for a predator — and why he got away with it for so long.

Justice should never have an expiration date.
The statute of limitations for childhood sexual abuse (CSA) must be extended — or abolished altogether.
Many survivors don’t come forward until well into adulthood; some not until after age 53. Others never do.

He was a churchgoer. A family doctor. Played tennis. Played music. Married with five kids.
Socially “respectable.”
The perfect disguise for a predator - and why he got away with it for so long. 🤮

If #MeToo taught us anything, it’s that silence isn’t the same as consent.

I was 10. It was the father of my best friend.

We were children. They were trusted adults — or predators in plain sight.
It was not our fault.
And it’s not our shame.
We’re breaking the silence now.

This is for every man, every woman, every person who was abused as a child by someone they knew, someone they trusted, someone in power, or even a stranger.
You were a child.
It was never your fault.
