Title of my next article (whether Counter Arts publishes it or not): "Was I WRONG about the MCU being Gray Goo??" with the subtitle, "No, OBVIOUSLY not | The Fantastic Four: First Steps (2025) Movie Review" So I always, always include emoji either in the title or, more often, subtitle (never both). Idk why. It's a weird, little stylistic quirk, but it's something I check off a list, mentally (what's my emoji here?), and that emoji was removed by an editor (probably Reece Beckett, or maybe that pederast Hanrahan) (that's a Fletch reference, lol, not anything weird), so... That's a good sign, right? If they were passing, they'd just say no, I reckon, and not, like... make edits, right? Also, who was editing on a Saturday night/Sunday morning? Those are K. Cook & Cats, Co. hours lol.

Title of the ReelRank.net review: Actually Kinda Liked It! (Of Colombiana) Given that this was Olivier Megaton (what a name), I was, like, how could this be good? Happy to be wrong! Firstly, Zoe Saldaña (Academy-Award-Winner Zoe Saldaña, though she won her best-supporting award for her heroic, failed effort to elevate dogshit, dog-whistle, false-flag 🏳️⚧️ film Emilia Pérez) is an absolute treasure, we adore her work, and it's always nice to see her in anything, and this is quite a bit of her doing stuff she looks great doing, is giving a committed, gritty performance doing, it's all great. This is by no means, like, life-changing cinema. To get our ReelRank rating, we generally just multiply our Letterbox'd rating by 2, and we feel like this is a 3-star/6.0 type film, and we liked it. A good showcase for a lot of what Zoe Saldaña can do and do well (she's a SMOKESHOW, and also totally plausible and believable as the assassin super-killer she is in the movie). The 'personal blog' button here links to our BlueSky thread, where we spend a few bleets (BlueSky tweets are called bleets! Our ReelRank Tommy Boy review: This is an all-time comedy-classic film. We get WAY into it on the BlueSky thread (go follow us on BlueSky!), but the upshot is, this is a template for how to do comedy, and for what makes comedies work. The drama, the characters, the conflict, the tension - all of it is real. If you pulled all of the jokes from this film, it would still work as a heartfelt family-business drama, and small-business, buddy-based road-trip film. Richard Hayden has just pulled the driver's side door clear off of his Chavelle, and Tommy, despite knowing exactly what happened, says, "What'd you do??"
There are two HILARIOUS reaction shots of first, Tommy, then Richard, and then HILARIOUSLY, heightening it ad absurdum, we have a reaction shot of the 'Deer' (it looks like Triumph, the Insult Comic Deer, a little bit, lol; those dead, lifeless eyes), and I AM SCREAMING, it is CRACKING me UP
Neither Farley nor Spade really sells the crying here, but it's good comedic crying, and it totally totally works. They're heartbroken about this poor, furry thing (though they needn't be, lol), and they burst into tears, because they're both adolescent boys who wish their fathers were here.
I had to cool it or we were never gonna make it through this #movie & to the #MediumStory, which is the ultimate form of & destination for what we think, but I'm still screen📸ing #iconic moments for our review
