Kay is pitching again — this ought to be good 😆
Everyone remember #CounterArts and #FrameRated? 🤣

Stories | Submissions [2 entries] 'The Greatest Story Ever Told' | Superman (2025) Movie Review submitted to Deconstructing Christianity: APPROVED Was I WRONG about the MCU being Gray Goo?? submitted to Counter Arts: PENDING REVIEW That could mean literally anything. It certainly doesn't mean, 'we're fine with the phrasing of 'goopily climaxed,' and we're going to publish your piece as-is,' which is what I want to hear right now, frankly.
... huh. That's... more than I have. For sure. Maybe I take back some of that wild shit I was smart to not say or type anywhere... I mean, that's 40K. If you say that isn't 40K you're needlessly splitting hairs. 40K followers. Like... picture a cult. How big of a problem is a cult with 40 members? How about one with 40K members? ... yeah, I want this, lol
Whaaaaat?! Is that that weird Metamorpho baby from the new Superman movie? What's he got to do with The Fantastic Four: First Steps? Hm, isn't that curious. Maybe I'll go follow the link in Kay's bio and follow her on Medium so I can read whatever thing this is as soon as it comes out 🤔
Every time I'm defensively like 'I honestly don't even CARE if #CounterArts publishes my #moviereview...' I see this in my head, & it turns out, I do actually care a fair amount.
I'd say I have a strong-to-very-strong caring portfolio re: whether Counter Arts pubs my #Fantastic4 piece 😬

Title of my next article (whether Counter Arts publishes it or not): "Was I WRONG about the MCU being Gray Goo??" with the subtitle, "No, OBVIOUSLY not | The Fantastic Four: First Steps (2025) Movie Review" So I always, always include emoji either in the title or, more often, subtitle (never both). Idk why. It's a weird, little stylistic quirk, but it's something I check off a list, mentally (what's my emoji here?), and that emoji was removed by an editor (probably Reece Beckett, or maybe that pederast Hanrahan) (that's a Fletch reference, lol, not anything weird), so... That's a good sign, right? If they were passing, they'd just say no, I reckon, and not, like... make edits, right? Also, who was editing on a Saturday night/Sunday morning? Those are K. Cook & Cats, Co. hours lol.
I think our #KCookandCatsCo #FantasticFour #FirstSteps #MovieReview is nearly out?
An editor to the publication we submitted it to ( #CounterArts; go follow them: medium.com/counterarts) removed an #emoji from the subtitle of #MediumStory, which seems like a good sign, right? 🤔

“That was my first take on The Prestige, but on my third watch, I realised that there is, throughout the film, a constant theme of duality.” I can’t fault the work! Took more reps than I expected to get there, but he got there 😆
I’m not going to doxx him bc I actually like him & support him as a #writer, but this anon #Medium author from the publication #CounterArts… oof.
You know what??
Sincerely no shade if it takes you 3 viewings to pick up on duality in #ThePrestige. Whatever it takes 🤓

Yes, there are a few things happening at the moment, but lest we lose sight of the loss of David Lynch last week, I jotted down some thoughts for #CounterArts. This is a personal one for me, and as such, the piece isn't critical. It's a cinematic diary.

New piece up on #CounterArts.
Having finally watched CHERNOBYL (2019), I felt compelled to ponder whether the wonderful HBO miniseries is, in fact, horror. Here's a friend link. (If you're a Medium member, please consider giving it a paywall read and clap)
