A series of three strange characters of varying shapes.

The one on the left, in lime green, is Checkpoint Shale, who is made up of an upper-left and lower-left corner bracket, a thick center line, and two sets of angular lines towards their right side.

The one in the middle is Jhfgn, a darker green pile of indeterminate make with two antennae-like protrusions that are disembodied from the rest of itself. Two notches, the left one more sunken than the right, resembles eyes.

The one on the right in a reddish hue is Glueburt, who seems to be a mostly triangular shape, if imperfectly so due to bumps. A divide at the very bottom of this triangle-like body resembles a smile.  Two dots above it, on either side, resemble eyes.

Beneath each of them is a miniature version made of their actual MegaZeux ANSI character art, and their name in off-white default MegaZeux text.

While this bizarre lot may not end up being a thing at all, these three - among the sketched up cast of fourteen(-ish) - got the most love across friend circles, so here they are.

This is not indicative of their importance to whatever narrative potentially exists. #megazeux

A strange space made out of ANSI graphics. The skies are a very dark green, crackling with green-gray energy.

The land seems to be made of the same empty dark green, with a conspicuous opening into the void to the left. Red blocks with off-white blocks denote the walkable space's borders, layered on top of a teal, then dark red layer. Random off-white music notes are floating underneath them, suggesting they are load-bearing.

Three strange structures rise from the top, one of red and gray brick to the upper left. The center is made of lighter green with grayish arrows pointing to the left. The one on the right is made of indigo hash marks against a dark purple background.

Numerous characters, made of hard-to-see one-by-one blocks, can be seen. There's a lime green entity near the gap, a dark red one near the upper left house, a grayish one (in the shape of '#8') near the center house, and a hard-to-see dark purple one near the upper right. 

Towards the center is a black-colored smiley on a white tile. Just to the southwest is a duller green entity that looks like it has antennae. South of the black-and-white smiley is a brighter red entity with two small dots above an undefinable body shape. Very difficult to see furthest to the east of the bright red one is a set of four magenta dots aligned horizontally.

There is nothing of note happening, beyond the gathering of strange shapes and colors.

There are plenty of free video game development kits out there now but I keep on getting distracted.

I like the #GameMaker from #YoYoGames but my brain rot is so bad that I mostly toy with the ugly #Megazeux software .

I credit ZZT and #MegaZeux with exposing me to concepts of extreme parallism at an early age. And as this video discusses, most games can be broken down into quite simple massively parallel processes- just think of each enemy, item, system, concept, etc. as an Object, executing it's own code.

Bacon is probably the best sprite based Megazeux mini-games I can think of in the last 6 years .

Some close contenders are : #Megazeux superstar , Amnesia, Blarg, Booshkies, Don't Look Back, Quality TV,Beat, Special Quest, Tetris,& Labyrinth IO.
