Meldon viaduct, built in the 1870s, used to carry the London & South Western Railway's mainline from London (Waterloo) to Plymouth. This section around the north of Dartmoor is long closed and today serves as a cycleway known as the Granite Way.

Dartmoor hike from Meldon reservoir to Black-a-Tor Copse. It was beautiful and peaceful until a pack of hounds arrived, followed by a group of hunt scum on horses. Unfortunately, I didn't see anyone fall off their horse.
