Bodmin Moor near the village of Minions. On the right horizon under the clouds stands a derelict and collapsed engine house. This would have burnt coal to power a steam engine to either dewater/pump out water from the lower depths of the mine - or the shaft could have been used for transporting men or copper ore.

Meldon viaduct, built in the 1870s, used to carry the London & South Western Railway's mainline from London (Waterloo) to Plymouth. This section around the north of Dartmoor is long closed and today serves as a cycleway known as the Granite Way.

Built in 1874 by the London & South Western Railway for its London to Plymouth service, now sadly closed to trains, it's one of only two surviving railway bridges in the United Kingdom that use wrought iron lattice piers to support wrought iron trusses. This section of the railway, once the route of the prestigious Atlantic Coast Express, is known as 'The Withered Arm'. It now forms part of the Granite Way - a cyclepath that circumnavigates round the north of the moor.
