On #ThisDayInHistory in 1937, Chicago #police attacked steel workers, in service to #capital as cops always are. The #strike was called by a #CIO affiliate and involved a picnic & songs. In the #MemorialDayMassacre 50 were shot (10 died) and over 100 beaten (nine disabled by it).
