The new Microsoft Windows start menu is garbage. GARBAGE.
You can at least go into the settings area for your start button and turn off everything under 'Recommended' and get something close to what is usable.

Screenshot of Microsoft AutoUpdate. It says "Update in progress. It has a progress bar that is mostly blue, with a tiny bit of grey at the far right edge. It says "Installing - 1 second remaining". It has said this, without moving, for over an hour.
This stupid thing has been saying "1 second remaining" for over an hour.
