It'll definitely be winter clothes today! 30 degrees here in #MiddleTennessee when we got up this morning. Bright and sunny though. I think I'll be able to find a spot protected by the NE winds to sun sit.

Yellow Swallowtail Butterfly on Henbit Deadnettle.
It seems kind of early to be seeing butterflies in #MiddleTennessee. Third week of March and there's not many blooms for them. I'm so glad we haven't mowed the yard yet.

I think it's #DogwoodWinter here in #MiddleTennessee. Went to bed last night with the A/C running.....had to cut on the heat this morning. It's 45 degrees on our back porch now at 10 AM. We're headed for a high in the upper 50's. The good news....it won't be below freezing tonight.

I'm going to try transplanting the Chickweed and Little Leaf Buttercup to a bed so they won't get mowed down. The Wild Violets are already part of one.

We still haven't mowed the yard yet and there are patches of these little wildflowers(plus others) throughout the yard. My husband has humored me so far in not mowing....but those days will be ending this week (he swears)

We're in for a beautiful day here in #MiddleTennessee. Our high is reaching the upper 8o's. Heck that may be a little to warm for me. You know us old ladies can tolerate heat very good. I'll get outside right after breakfast here pretty soon and see how much I can get accomplished this morning.

This mornings temperature when we got up was 33 degrees on our back porch here in #MiddleTennessee and still cloudy. The northerly winds blew all night and continue today. The sun finally drove the clouds away. It's going to be an inside kind of day for me.

It's mostly cloudy and windy this morning here in #MiddleTennessee. The temperature now is 70 degrees on our back porch. So far this morning....I've been lollygagging, now accomplishing anything productive...unless you can count enjoying all of the beauties in our yard.

This dark cloud in yesterday's sunset sky here in #MiddleTennessee looked ominous. Reminded me of photos I've seen after bombs were dropped on countries. I've never before had such a sense of unease and dread of what our future holds.

Our next door neighbor has a row of gorgeous #daffodils in their front yard. I envy them. I don't know what happened to the ones I used to have. These can be spotted along the roadside, in fields, at old homesites. I just enjoy them where ever I can find them.

Our #WinterStormFern yard clean up continues when the weather allows and when we have the energy. Today we finished with dislodging and stacking all the broken pine tree limbs on the final pine tree, smaller debris burned in barrel. Perfect weather. #2oldfolks #MiddleTennessee
