Rising Waters by K. P. Aldrich I heard a flood was coming for some unfortunate people, but the warnings echo now in every slosh of water upon my doorstep. I saw many who were drowning in far off places, then nearer places, and now, my friends and kin are being swept away. I felt the cold water seep through the seams of my shoes today; shoes not made for harsh conditions; shoes I never expected to get wet.

When it all comes crashing down,
When the dust crumbles,
You sweep it up,
Add water,
And shape it again.
