Shining Marbled Pseudeustrotia candidula was an unexpected new species for me this morning. Other rare #migrantmoth in the 2 moth traps I ran was Loxostege sticticalis (only my 4th). With shining marbled I have now recorded 5000+ species in Belgium on waarnemingen.be (37%+ of them Lepidoptera)!

Still enjoying the casually good #migrantmoth action in Somerset: today’s catch (from

Highlights from a twin actinic in Norwich last night suggest some dispersal: the garden's 2nd Marbled Clover (the smallest I've seen: that's my little fingernail for comparison), Dark Sword-grass and 4 Silver Y. #teammoth #migrantmoth #MuchAdoAboutMothing @migrantmothuk.bsky.social

Tonight will probably be the best chance of something turning up in the far south west of England and Ireland, although it's more likely to be one or two more common species. Any #migrantmoth activity is likely to be restricted to the far west of Cornwall/Isle of Scilly & Co Cork/Kerry. #teammoth
