(Book review) >Light Read with Light Substance< I've struggled a little with the rating. This is entertaining with some terrific heat, but it didn't really grab me. I may come back and up it later, but here's where I am at the moment. There are some things I really like: Senna Duncan usually holding her head high in the face of adversity; Benjamin "Benno" Adler acknowledging how they initially "met" without making her feel bad; Chase Baldwyn putting an interesting solution to their shared attraction out there; and James "Jamie" Carter's planning ahead for different possibilities is something that I truly appreciate. -- Book quote 'I was kissing my French professor. I’d known college was going to be different, but I sure as hell hadn’t anticipated anything like this.' -- Senna Duncan As for the bullies, not only do I love the quips that Senna shoots at them, but I like the disposition of the situations. Truly, she gets some real zingers in there. 😁 I read along with the audio book. The narrators, Alex Kydd and Rose Dioro, are two narrators that are on my definitely like list. 😘 I just came from another of Rose's books, so it took me a few to switch gears and forget that book and character. Story: 3.5 stars Narration: 4 stars Listening Speed: 1.8x
