Are there any open-source alternatives to #milanote I should check out? Numerous content creators I respect have extolled its values for creative project organization, but I assume since they're paying influencers to advertise for them, they must be unethical and predatory in some way.

My MilaNote MEEP board. On the left reads a note with the title "MEEP", and content "Mission: Extract, Exfiltrate, Profit", the other 3 lines are redacted. In the board is 12 other boards, each with their board count and card count, if applicable. Where I've put 0, Milanote doesn't actually display them (except if both is 0, then it will say "0 cards". Example - 1 board, 2 cards To-Do List - 6, 6 Dialogue/Quests - 0, 5 Notes - 0, 8 Story - 0, 4 Gameplay - 0, 11 Art - 0, 0 Characters - 3, 4 Technical Descriptions - 0, 7 Music & Audio - 0, 0 Settings - 6, 5 Bugs - 0, 0 Other Ideas - 0, 1 Each is uniquely coloured with a unique icon. The note is a rectangular grey panel, the boards take the form of a squircle (rounded-corner square) button, with their icon in the squircle, and their title and counts underneath.
Another Milanote board, titled "Settings". It has 4 notes: General Config singleton, so that settings can be easily set and retrieved without faffing about with how to specifically save and load something. Make sure it also sets the menu item that controls it! So I started using Milanote and it's so much easier to make my chaotic thoughts more organized with visuals.
I use it for planning out my books/stories and my art projects. I use it as moodboards and a way to put together ideas. It's so neat!

My only qualms really is that the app leaves a lot to be desired and being tethered to my desktop to make updates sucks imo.
