A male Gray Catbird with gray body feathers, a black tail, and a black cap on his head. Catbirds are in the same family as Mockingbirds, and have extensive songs in which they mimic other bird species, in addition to mewing. This bird was on the branches of a brown tree with peeling back, with green leaves in the background. Seen at Stony Brook W.S. in Norfolk, Massachusetts in the spring.
