Now running a private #matrix server for the family (synapse), 5 users.
Experience was much easier than that expected.
Idling at 5%, Spikes at 15%, 1GB ram use of a CAX11 hetzner vps (also running a #miniflux instance).
Only caveat, clients have sharp edges.

I played around some, and I think what could work for me for working with #RSS is saved searches.
- #NewsBlur does that pretty well, but it's a huge beast, and LLM-flavoured
- #miniflux doesn't do them at all (you can add external things that will do that for you, I guess)

I like #RSS. I have a lot of feeds. I'm interested only in *some* of the content they publish. I'm looking for a decent way to look at them.

Inspired by tonight's Homebrew Website Club, set up Miniflux on NixOS as an RSS reader. The grieving period for Google Reader, which was a questionable choice even before its demise, has officially concluded. Better a decade late than never.

Tried #freshrss yesterday, but no, I’m back with #miniflux. Can’t beat that minimalist and efficient design working great on all my devices without any apps. #selfhosted of course. Now running on a #RaspberryPi since my other server died.
Die Kombination Miniflux und Capy Reader funktioniert wirklich einwandfrei und tut genau das, was ich will (RSS Feeds holen und zeigen) und nicht mehr! 😍

Argh. I'm messing around with #MiniFlux, and I'm utterly failing to get "Entry Blocking Rules" to apply. I'm deleting and adding the feed again with the rules defined in Advanced, and the feed entries I don't want keep being there :(

Wrote some JavaScript code to customize #Miniflux #feedReader to automatically sort articles by similarity. Now I can read similar articles one after another easily.
I'm messing around with frontends for #miniflux : #ReactFlux and #ReMiniFlux, and I like the interface for ReactFlux more, but for some reason, it fails to display whole entry for a webcomic, while the same entry displays fine via ReMiniFlux and MiniFlux . WTF?m
Maybe it's just "new shiny thing" thing but it seems/_feels_ that the services are snappier ( #miniflux loads even so lightly faster) :o
