I saw this one Black-throated Green Warbler in with all the Cape May's last week. #USbirds, #Minnesotabirds. They dropped out of migration into Grand Marais, MN last week during a wind event on Lake Superior. The wet rocks are from spray of giant waves breaking just behind him. Warblers everywhere!

Great gray owl launching
I got to spend about 10 minutes alone with this great gray owl before anyone else showed up. Occasionally we locked eyes (which gave me a chill every time) but mostly it hunted and I watched. Just amazing.
