#LadiesOfLightLore
Physically, #Euphemia is the combination of several aspects from her three present day shards.
#Mirita: forehead dots, skintone, root hair color
#Khorijin: eye color
#Rija: highlight hair color, some physical mannerisms (1/3)
#Mirita: red/black
#Khorijin: blue/white
#Rija: pink/black in either order, with a little brown sometimes
#Khoride: dark blue/white
#Ystride: sky blue/white
#Euphemia: black, red, blue
#Helena: green, orange, yellow/gold
#Zardaar: purple/sky blue

Very generally, height. #Mirita is the shortest of the Ladies and she stands at 6'1"/185cm, much taller than most Mi'qote; everyone else is taller than her. (This is mostly due to a measurement error, but I ran with it.) Other recognizable traits are in the second image.
#LadiesOfLightLore
I think this is better answered in two screenshots because there's nuance to it depending on who you're asking about.
#Mirita #Khorijin #Rija #Khoride #Ystride #Euphemia #Helena #Zardaar
Miri thinks he's a little weird, but not overall a bad guy. She has been party to a few of his adventures against her will but usually comes out alright, if a little more befuddled every single time. #Mirita #LadiesOfLightLore
A graphic by @mswriterperson that says "Give me an NPC and I'll tell you their relation to my OC".
Mirita, a Black Seeker Miqo'te, standing in her yard and grinning with hear hands behind her back.
Let's start with #Mirita.

#LadiesOfLightLore
The short answer to this: #Mirita, #Khorijin, and #Rija are technically the WoLs in terms of the major story beats, but the Ladies of Light as a whole all participate in the plot of the main story. #Fubuki and #Touka are just regular retainers who work for them. (1/3)
#LadiesOfLightLore
#Mirita: Ala Mhigo
#Khorijin, #Khoride: The Azim Steppe
#Rija: The Golmore Jungle (the village of Muscadet)
#Ystride: It's Complicated (you could say Ishgard)
#Euphemia: She says "Ala Mhigo", but it's complicated
#Helena: Bozja
#Zardaar: Not Etheirys (1/2)
#LadiesOfLightLore
Spring - #Mirita, #Euphemia
Summer - #Khorijin, #Khoride
Autumn - #Rija, #Zardaar
Winter - #Ystride
#LadiesOfLightLore
#Mirita was raised in an Ul'dahn orphanage and grew up on Ul'dah's streets. Aside from briefly skimming lessons at the Pugilist's Guild when she was younger, she had no real connection with any guilds until she became a PGL for real after the Calamity. (1/4)
#Mirita #Khorijin #Rija #Khoride #Ystride #Euphemia #Helena #Zardaar #Fubuki #Touka are all Black.
Some of their families, all just as Black, are also included in this post: blacksky.community/profile/did:...
Happy Black History Month.

#LadiesOfLightLore #Khorijin
4. Sexuality. Khorijin is sapphic, much like #Mirita, who is her long-term partner.
#Mirita #LadiesOfLightLore
6. Hobbies. Miri loves working out, sparring, jogging, etc. She is (unlike me) very much a jock. Her really big thing is blitzball, though, she plays it professionally.
#Mirita #LadiesOfLightLore
5. Species. Miri is a Seeker of the Sun Miqo'te. Pretty straightforward!
#Mirita #LadiesOfLightLore
4. Sexuality. Miri is sapphic as it gets, whether you're a cis woman or a not-cis woman. This cat thinks girls are pretty, and is the sporty good-hearted jock type, so she may miss a hint or two unless you tell her straight out (and even then she might blush out if you do)
From a gameplay perspective, all my characters do distinct RP and job stuff: #Mirita, for instance, has no magic aptitude & would make a poor Paladin, so some of the others get to explore those jobs instead. But I do progress MSQ with them also, just slower than I do with Mirita. (4/4)
#Mirita #LadiesOfLightLore
3. Pronouns. Mirita's are straightforwardly she/her and pretty much always have been.
#Mirita #LadiesOfLightLore
2. Birthplace. As alluded to in the previous post, Miri is Ala Mhigan by birth, from the Fringes of Ala Mhigo; her father and mother were from separate, sufficiently distant branches of the larger M clan. Also as stated previously, she grew up in an Ul'dahn orphanage.
#Mirita #LadiesOfLightLore
1. Full name: Mirita Ebenae, which she gave herself; she was a young Ala Mhigan orphan raised in Ul'dah, and the orphanage gave her a first name she absolutely hated so she picked both of her own. Her birth name is M'naira Jalla, which she learned as an adult.
An image macro meme as an introduction to a character, titled "Get to know my muse!" promising "one like = one answer!" 1 - What is my muse's full-name? 2 - Where was my muse born? 3 - What are my muse's pronouns? 4 - What is my muse's sexuality? 5 - What is my muse's species? 6 - What is my muse's favorite hobby? 7 - What is something my muse cannot stand? 8 - What is my muse's favorite movie? 9 - Is my muse more of a lover or a fighter? 10 - is my muse more of a good or a bad person? 11 - What is the most noble thing my muse has ever done? 12 - What is something my muse is ashamed of? 13 - Can my muse handle pressure? 14 - Does my muse have any powers or abilities? 15 - How is my muse with kids? 16 - Who doe smy muse love the most? 17 - Who is my muse's greatest enemy? 18 - Is my muse more of a glass half full or glass half empty kind of person? 19 - Is my muse more ambitious or more content with life? 20 - Where does my muse see themselves in five years? And a promise: for every like after 20, there will be trivia or lore about my character.
A Black Seeker Miqo'te woman, standing in the markets in red and black clothing, with one hand extended in a "come on" gesture while the other is behind her back. She has black hair with red highlights.
We'll do one a day/one every other day, to get back into the habit of posting on here.
First off: #Mirita.
#LadiesOfLightLore
In-universe:
- #Mirita: Ul'dahn, with a little "Xak Turali" even before DT
- #Khorijin & #Khoride: distinctly Xaelic
- #Rija: Golmorri with a bit of Dalmasci
- #Ystride: Gridanian & a bit of Ishgardian
- #Euphemia: Mostly Ala Mhigan (?)
- #Helena: Strong Bozjan
#LadiesOfLightLore (2/2)
A group of Au Ra and one Elezen all standing together on the Azim Steppe. The mother of the family, Gorbeljin, stands at the center. Her second oldest daughters Orgelen and Orbei flank her on the viewer's left and right respectively, her second youngest daughters Khorijin and Khoride are out to her further right and further left, and her oldest daughter Berude stands in the back next to her youngest adopted child, Ystride.
Helena, a brown leopard-patterned Hrothgar woman, looking at another Hrothgar woman--her mother, Vesna. Her father, Sambor, grins proudly at her while Helena and Vesna stand face-to-face.
Mirita, a Black Seeker Miqo'te woman, speaks excitedly to a Miqo'te woman of similar complexion with glasses and graying hair.
Mirita, a Black Seeker Miqo'te, looking up and smiling, while ghostly images of her mother and father rest their hands on her shoulder and look on in approval.
For non-WoLs, we have Khorijin, Khoride, and Ystride's family, Helena's mother Vesna and father Sambor, Mirita's aunt M'aka, and her birth parents M'toko Ranh and M'jalla Nunh, deceased. They are also all Black. (2/3)

Here's the main cast, essentially a team of WoLs: #Mirita, #Khorijin, #Rija, #Khoride, #Ystride, #Euphemia, and #Helena. They're all Black.
(The actual lore is too complex for what I've got time to post, but you can learn bits of things by checking #LadiesOfLightLore.) (1/3)

In their own home territories there are no real difficulties, though #Mirita didn't learn her actual birth M clan name until many years afterward. There is a thread that has proper pronunciations and all, but here's a screenshot to summarize.

Mirita, a Black Seeker Miqo'te, looking up and smiling, while ghostly images of her mother and father rest their hands on her shoulder and look on in approval.
Gorbeljin, a Black Au Ra woman, looks at the camera, with what appears to be a mildly indifferent expression. She is clearly middle aged, with slight wrinkles on her face.

While I do not have pictures of everyone, do have:
- #Mirita and her parents
- Gorbeljin, Khorijin's mother. #Khorijin and #Khoride are the only blood daughters she has who have inherited her eye and hair colors. (2/2)
#LadiesOfLightLore
(IC explanations first, OOC later)
#Mirita: "I'm a woman, an' I think women're cute m'nya!"
#Khorijin: "...As am I, and as do I. (whilst looking at Mirita)"
#Rija: "I find that I am a woman who samples flowers often and trunks on occasion~" (1/4)
Two Samurai women--a Black Seeker Miqo'te and a Black Highlander--standing beside each other, swords drawn and stances ready. One is standing in Marth's Fire Emblem stance, light on her feet, while the other is holding her katana like a Dark Knight's greatsword.
Mother/daughter samurai souls.

#LadiesOfLightLore
It's 50/50. There are parts of me that are parts of the Ladies, both the things I aspire to and the things that I sometimes feel heavy things about, but I look at them as their own people. #Mirita is a lot of my inner sunniness. #Khorijin, some of my reclusivity, etc. (1/2)
#LadiesOfLightLore
#Mirita: Originally from a DnD character who was, humorously, nothing much like her. Her Ala Mhigan birth name came later.
#Khorijin and #Rija: Chosen randomly from a pool of appropriate names for their origins.
#Khoride: Khorijin's name blended with her sister Berude's. (1/2)
#LadiesOfLightLore
Essentially, the only person who *directly* directly experienced it in Eorzea was #Mirita. The others were abroad in some fashion or another, or otherwise not yet...conscious, shall we say, depending on who you mean.
