#LadiesOfLightLore
Initially I envisioned Miri, Khori, etc. as maybe only being 6-8 inches taller than the average, but I did the initial setup by eye and so had to adjust my baselines upward to keep everything in line; now I can't imagine them any other way. (2/2)
#LadiesOfLightLore
I have no comparison pictures to directly show, but I can say that vanilla they're all at max height for their respective origins.
Lore-accurate though, they're all basically giants by comparison to others of their origin. It was kind of an accident. (1/2)
#LadiesOfLightLore #Khorijin
Even as a child, Khorijin was a fair bit taller than most Xaela girls her age.
I also imagine that her horns here grew and curled into their current shape, and that her earrings were a gift from either her mother or her older twin sisters that she has worn for a while.
Zardaar: Her accent is a bit closer to something Russian/Slavic, similar to Helena, but her voice is not nearly as deep as Helena's and is audibly more nasal. She also accents some of her Gs with Ks (so, classically, "thinking" sounds like "thinkink") and does not use contractions given the option. Her speaking pace is generally measured and somewhat slow, and she tends to be rather laconic all told.
Adding #Zardaar to this #LadiesOfLightLore bit.
#LadiesOfLightLore
Especially during the Final Days, she internalized a lot of hurt over people she loved and respected choosing to do things she never agreed with, and that weight, lighter as it gets, still follows her around. She tries to enjoy her second life because it feels precious. (3/3)
#LadiesOfLightLore
Personality-wise, I mostly went with the little characterization hints the game itself gives, and seasoned them a bit.
Euphemia is someone with a mature sort of motherly whimsy and a love of travel, but also someone who uses that to hide a lot of brooding pensivity. (2/3)
#LadiesOfLightLore
Physically, #Euphemia is the combination of several aspects from her three present day shards.
#Mirita: forehead dots, skintone, root hair color
#Khorijin: eye color
#Rija: highlight hair color, some physical mannerisms (1/3)
Nonbinary children are free to travel with either clan, or neither, as they see fit: #Khorijin and her older sister Berude, for instance, were born to a cis Borlaaqi woman and a nonbinary masc Iriqi. #LadiesOfLightLore (3/3)
The Borlaaq also accept transfemme Iriqi, and the Iriq accept transmasc Borlaaqi. No questions or "are you sures"; if the child knows, then it's done, and no Borlaaqi or Iriqi will deny their child that right.
#LadiesOfLightLore (2/3)
#LadiesOfLightLore
So in canon the Borlaaq clan of the Steppe only raises women, and the Iriq will pick up any boys born to the Borlaaq. I looked at this and fleshed it out a bit: first off, it's a mutual practice that both clans agree to, no abandonment or cut contact.
#LadiesOfLightLore
(1/3)
Zardaar is back to colors I just thought were cool, and Ystride is a variant of the Borlaaq colors because of her connection to Khorijin and Khoride. #LadiesOfLightLore (3/3)
For Miri, Khori, and Rija, those are just color combos I've used a lot and liked. In the Ladies' canon, the Borlaaq clan colors are blue and white, so that's why Khori and Ride have those.
Helena is accidentally the Bozjan flag colors, which fits since she's from there.
#LadiesOfLightLore
(2/3)
#Mirita: red/black
#Khorijin: blue/white
#Rija: pink/black in either order, with a little brown sometimes
#Khoride: dark blue/white
#Ystride: sky blue/white
#Euphemia: black, red, blue
#Helena: green, orange, yellow/gold
#Zardaar: purple/sky blue
#LadiesOfLightLore (1/3)
#LadiesOfLightLore
Very generally, height. #Mirita is the shortest of the Ladies and she stands at 6'1"/185cm, much taller than most Mi'qote; everyone else is taller than her. (This is mostly due to a measurement error, but I ran with it.) Other recognizable traits are in the second image.
#LadiesOfLightLore
I think this is better answered in two screenshots because there's nuance to it depending on who you're asking about.

#LadiesOfLightLore #BozjanWorldbuilding #Helena
She trained as a Viper while overseas, then returned to Bozja fully recovered, retaking her rank and assisting in Bozja's liberation before becoming an adventurer, eventually falling in with and becoming a Lady of Light. (2/2)
#LadiesOfLightLore #BozjanWorldbuilding #Helena
Helena Avesna: current Queen potential of the wandering Clan Avesna, former Bozjan Resistance Captain who blew up a Garlean base a few years before the events of Save the Queen in FF14. She had to flee & convalesce in Tural for protection. (1/2)
Miri thinks he's a little weird, but not overall a bad guy. She has been party to a few of his adventures against her will but usually comes out alright, if a little more befuddled every single time. #Mirita #LadiesOfLightLore
A graphic by @mswriterperson that says "Give me an NPC and I'll tell you their relation to my OC".
Mirita, a Black Seeker Miqo'te, standing in her yard and grinning with hear hands behind her back.
Let's start with #Mirita.
#LadiesOfLightLore
Khoride: Khorijin's "Fray", but more accurately her headmate & sister, born from the resentment of her youth and the injustices of ARR and HW. Becomes a Lady of Light in Shadowbringers, when she figures out how to use Living Shadow to manifest her own body separate from Khorijin fairly early on. Ystride: Khorijin's "Myste", her other headmate and sibling, born from her grief over her mistreatment of Haurchefant and her unrequited feelings for Ysayle. Becomes a Lady of Light in Endwalker, awakened by Khorijin's grief and frustration over current events. Euphemia: The original Azem that Mirita, Khorijin, and Rija are all shards of (for some reason, her shard on the Source split into three). Is called back from the dead in a confluence of miracles after the battle with Hydaelyn, becomes fully corporeal at Ultima Thule, but doesn't become a Lady of Light until the start of Dawntrail, when she's recovered enough power to fight. Helena: Former Bozjan resistance captain who decides to train Rija and Ystride when she sees them using gunblades, and challenges them to find her in Tural. Met the Ladies in late post-EW @ Sharlayan, joins in Dawntrail. Zardaar: Got blasted into Eorzea due to stopping an attempt from the Lightbound to get back to Azeroth. Has met Ystride circa 7.4, but has not taken any steps to becoming a Lady just yet.
#LadiesOfLightLore
I've put the details in this image below for people who are interested, since I can't explain it succinctly aside from saying that Helena is the "normal" one because she has no Echo or special power in particular. There are Dark Knight and Endwalker spoilers. (3/3)
#LadiesOfLightLore
The longer answer: Mirita, Khorijin, and Rija are the first 3 "Ladies of Light", who participated in the Ul'dah, Gridania, and Limsa ARR questlines and drive much of the plot forward until Shadowbringers. The other Ladies all join at various points post-ShB. (2/3)
#LadiesOfLightLore
The short answer to this: #Mirita, #Khorijin, and #Rija are technically the WoLs in terms of the major story beats, but the Ladies of Light as a whole all participate in the plot of the main story. #Fubuki and #Touka are just regular retainers who work for them. (1/3)
#LadiesOfLightLore (Endwalker spoilers)
For Euphemia specifically, she was born in Amaurot, but spent a lot of her formative years in Elpis, since her parents were researchers there until their deaths.
And Zardaar specifically is from the AU Draenor established with Warlords of Draenor. (2/2)
#LadiesOfLightLore
#Mirita: Ala Mhigo
#Khorijin, #Khoride: The Azim Steppe
#Rija: The Golmore Jungle (the village of Muscadet)
#Ystride: It's Complicated (you could say Ishgard)
#Euphemia: She says "Ala Mhigo", but it's complicated
#Helena: Bozja
#Zardaar: Not Etheirys (1/2)

#LadiesOfLightLore
Ultimately, Miri, Khori, and Rija all became very well known in their respective city-states before the MSQ started and began to weave their paths together more directly when Miri traveled to Gridania and Limsa for Sastasha and Tam-Tara respectively. (4/4)
#LadiesOfLightLore
#Rija came to Limsa from Dalmasca after an unfortunate incident in Rabanastre involving a Garlean resistance cell she'd gotten involved with. Subsequently, she took up with the Dutiful Sisters and spent most of her time with them. (3/4)
#LadiesOfLightLore
#Khorijin came to Gridania from the Azim Steppe; she was simply in pursuit of new techniques to give her an edge in the Naadam and became a Lancer mostly because she already knew how to use a spear. (2/4)
#LadiesOfLightLore
#Mirita was raised in an Ul'dahn orphanage and grew up on Ul'dah's streets. Aside from briefly skimming lessons at the Pugilist's Guild when she was younger, she had no real connection with any guilds until she became a PGL for real after the Calamity. (1/4)
