So there’s a book store in #Mitsuwa that sells manga, anime & other books & knickknacks. Lately I’d seen ads via socials for #Blokees: #Transformers. I’ve been interested for a while, but it seemed costly for overseas shipping. #Kinokuniya #Chicago has them for less than the going rate of #Hasbro

We took our class to a Japanese supermarket just outside of #Chicago called #Mitsuwa. It sits northwest of the city in Arlington Heights. Was a pretty fun visit as the culinary class bought items for a meal they are preparing & for other students who joined the trip. I had #onigiri for the 1st time

This is the meal I get when I go to #Mitsuwa, very comforting for me. I go to #SantoukaRamen and get a salmon ikura bowl, and then I go to #SanukiSandou and get a sansai vegetable soba and a green tea. I'd like to think I could eat this three meals a day for eternity and basically be healthy lol

I saw these $30+ premium strawberries on sale at Mitsuwa. It makes me smile to think in the middle of a crisis, someone's going to take simple pleasure in the act of eating a $5 strawberry.
