A lot of the early discussion aligns well with the #modphys approach to forces and even the #modchem gas particle model. He gets accurate weights for flying quadcopters and paper airplanes and talks about why a ball thrown over the scale does NOT register on it.

I love using the Men in a Well model to introduce patterns of electron energies, before using Bohr models. It starts with actual data instead of abstract theory, and when students see how the model connects to the periodic table, it's a huge 'lightbulb moment.'
