Mohammed #Mrabet’s short novel #TheBigMirror was taped and translated from the #Moghrebi by Paul Bowles and published in 1977.

On paulbowles.org website there are some pages of Bowles’s notebooks with his “running translation” of the taped story into English, alongside its final published version.

"The Saint by Accident" by #MohammedMrabet was translated into English by #PaulBowles. It was first published in The Transatlantic Review No. 45, and was later included in The Boy Who Set the Fire & Other Stories.
