Vote #molybdenite! It’s a pretty blue silver color, it’s found in porphyry deposits (my favorite), it’s fun to say and spell, and there is a famous molybdenum mine in Colorado named Climax with it’s hilariously named “Glory Hole” created by underground block cave mining. (Be careful googling that)

let's not forget that not only is #molybdenite the main ore of molybdenum, a highly useful metal and one essential for life, but it has many interesting and useful properties of its own
not to mention its sisters, the isostructural rheniite (ReS₂) and tungstenite (WS₂)

Bornite is great, but #molybdenite is not copper! I kid (kind of)! A soft, silver, greasy, hexagonal mineral that can look like JiffyPop, foil-wrapped leftovers, or metallic graphite. It can handle high-stress/high-temps, & it's anti-corrosive. Those seem like good qualities here & now!
