In ep 38 of #kDrama #ForEagleBrothers so far I've been surprised at how much intelligent, sensible dialog there is. But as the makjang builds, a difference with #MoneyFlower stands out. That one was pure makjang, but QUIET. Very little screaming, hair-pulling etc. This one's makjang is much noisier

I have to be in EXACTLY the right headspace for makjang and it has to be EXACTLY the right sort of makjang - machiavellian not shouty, screamy hair-pulling. For delivering that. #kDrama #MoneyFlower gets 9.5/10 It worked so well because the ENTIRE plot was revealed in just this one scene.

Not after eating a mountain of magic mushrooms would I Ever sayt #Faith was a GOOD #kDrama but it was one of my first, so it made an impression. One good memory was the pretty actor playing the Princess - Park Se Young,. Delighted she's front and centre in #MoneyFlower

The pacing on #MoneyFlower reminds me of #FlowerofEvil, with dramatic soundtrack punctuating all the cliffhangers. Even though you may have guessed some of the plot twists, the music gets you in your very core when they're revealed.

Sometimes a drama where the antihero is so confident and calm and tackles every crisis against them flawlessly can be so calming. I'm watching #MoneyFlower, and they way Jang Hyuk prowls around is a thing of beauty. (Kim Nam-Joo in #Misty gives off similar vibes.)
