7.8/10 for #kDrama #ForEagleBrothers : Too long (should've been 50, not 54) , and with one troubling storyline I skipped entirely with a woman rewarded for being a sasaeng. Against that, some REALLY surprisingly progressive, sensible dialogue, and many clear shutdowns of #kDrama clichés
The definition of Drama filler: At the start of episode 48/54, the ML says to the FL "le Will you marry me?" To which she replies "yes, but let's have you late wife's mother live with us too" Because of course, that's a TOTALLY normal thing to say. 🙄 #kDrama #ForEagleBrothers

In ep 38 of #kDrama #ForEagleBrothers so far I've been surprised at how much intelligent, sensible dialog there is. But as the makjang builds, a difference with #MoneyFlower stands out. That one was pure makjang, but QUIET. Very little screaming, hair-pulling etc. This one's makjang is much noisier

One of the fun things about having started nearly 500 #kDrama (and finished ~340) is the comforting certainty you get from some scenes. Like when a mid-20s woman says to her Mum "a person can never be forgiven for abandoning their child" you just KNOW the Mum did exactly that #ForEagleBrothers 😆
I was thinking about the icky HS student-teacher fixation in #jDrama yesterday while watching #kDrama #ForEagleBrothers - there's a romance line budding between a professor and a 'student', but she's post-grad and his TA, which I'm (more or less) fine with. I love #jDrama but HATE that flaw.

1. Fun show with a great focus on non-traditional family.
2. Loved the MC's story; liked most of the others.
3. Some resolutions felt rushed, and the extra episodes were okay, but not necessary.
4. Kwang Sook was a delight!
