Even if there was no need, both their seats were as close as possible without constantly causing their elbows to bump… though, most of the time they solved that by interlocking their arms together. “Oh, show me.” Louisa instantly replied, as Lucy proceeded to place the book she had just brought over said table, letting her take a look before opening it. Yes, she was going to like that one. It was a story about three best friends accidentally being dropped into a strange world hidden in plain sight when one of them played with a magic neither of them understood or even believed in at first. It was about discovering themselves in that world, looking at the uglier part of their relationship and coming back home stronger than they had been. It was about being separated to reunite years later, in better positions to be together in more than one sense. And the best part? She got to read it with Lucy, her best friend and now girlfriend too… precisely after having been through some similar experiences. Save for the actual different world, of course. Though, moving to a different country still counted a bit, right?
