help - AMD Ryzen 7 9800x3d & GTX 5080 pc shuts off and reboots during gaming I recently built my pc (about a couple months old ) with a AMD Ryzen 7 9800x3d and GTX 5080 card and 1000W PSU. It runs perfectly fine doing anything until it comes to certain games and I've noticed that they are usually graphic intensive games. I can play Fortnite and Valorant for hours and hours and nothing happen but when I've played games like Outlast Trials, Sons of the Forest, and Arc Raiders it completely shuts down and reboots during unexpecting moments it could be even an hour or two until it happens. Somedays it could just not happen at all which is frustrating because I would think it stopped happening and then it would just happen out of nowhere on these sorts of games. Just today I tried closing Arc Raiders by right clicking the bottom taskbar and closing it through that and it just shut off and rebooted and it was perfectly playable for about 2 hours so it's really random. USB issues with Oculus Rift sensors ? Hi, Built a new build recently with an Aorus X870E Pro Ice, a 9950x3d and 64 GB RAM. On BIOS F8d and running at stock settings, no PBO or EXPO enabled, XHCI and Legacy Support are enabled in BIOS and running with Windows 10. Faced some weird issues with boot a while back. Have an Oculus Rift v1, plugged those sensors in and across 2 days (probably 6-7) boot cycles, once got a B4 error, unplugged the sensors - was able to boot plugged them back in. A while later got an F3 error, forced a restart and got the B4 error again, forced another restart and it worked (sensors were plugged in). Used a couple of days afterwards without the sensors plugged in during boot and then another two days with them plugged in and haven't faced that issue since, was wondering if it was related to that or some other random issue. Apart from the sensors, I have a powered USB hub / switcher on a USB 3.2 Gen 1 port connected to a keyboard, mouse and arctis headset dongle and an L-Connect wireless dongle... Read more

System running super slow after case/motherboard transplant. I had one of my HP z420's running in a standard ATX case with a standard ATX power supply. It was running fine but I wanted to use the case and power supply for another project so I grabbed a bare bones z420 from ebay for cheap. I did the swap and everything booted up fine. The z420 came with 2x8Gb of DDR3 and an E5-1650v2 but I used the E5-2697v2 and the 4x8Gb DDR3 from the previous setup. I use this machine pretty much exclusively for transcoding. I loaded a couple DVD's and started 2 transcodes and the system ran like garbage. My other z420 with the same CPU and memory can run 3 transcodes at the same time for a total of about 120fps for the first pass. The swapped system is getting single digits. And while it is running trying to run anything else is pretty much impossible. I thought maybe the BIOS was the issue but the BIOS is up to date. When I checked the CPU is running at 3.2Gb at idle which is the max boast clock on all cores. I also am getting intermittent memory error... Read more
