I was pleased to talk to BBC Points West about community flood-resilience at the first meeting of the Three Villages Flood Group in #Mudford. Great to see positive action towards planning & defences, but the Govt must do more. I'll keep pushing for more funding for the agencies fighting flooding.

#Mudford in my constituency suffers severe flooding & has inadequate sewers that overflow in heavy rain. I met residents last week to discuss planned housing there & have pushed the Govt to involve water companies in the planning process to ensure infrastructure can cope & stop future sewage spills.

Last week I visited #Mudford to hear about challenges the village is facing to protect homes & farmland from flooding. It's great to hear how the community is building resilience to mitigate the threat of extreme weather. I'll keep pushing the Govt to for proper funding so communities are resourced.
