Statement of the Mechanism Following Criminal Conviction and Sentencing of Judge Lydia Mugambe In July 2024, the United Nations International Residual Mechanism for Criminal Tribunals (Mechanism) became aware that Judge Lydia Mugambe was under investigation for certain charges for which she has now been convicted and sentenced by the Oxford Crown Court, United Kingdom. The United Nations Secretary-General was promptly informed of the criminal investigation and thereafter waived Judge Mugambe’s immunity concerning these and all related criminal proceedings.

The statement says, well, absolutely nothing. Only this afternoon has Mugambe's profile been removed from the Mechanism's website.
