External support for education is a lifeline for the world's poorest countries, like Gambia and the Central African Republic, where aid accounts for up to half of all public spending on education. Already hard-hit by cuts, aid to education is projected to fall by a quarter between now and 2027. Donor governments must reverse aid cuts, grow their support for education, and ensure that the Global Partnership for Education is fully funded.
