Cuts in humanitarian assistance are leaving children without life-saving services and robbing them of the chance to go to school. Governments must affirm their commitments to education in communities affected by conflict and crises, including by funding Education Cannot Wait, the global fund for education in emergencies.

Education aid. External support for education is a lifeline for the world's poorest countries, like Gambia and the Central African Republic, where aid accounts for up to half of all public spending on education. Already hard-hit by cuts, aid to education is projected to fall by a quarter between now and 2027. Donor governments must reverse aid cuts, grow their support for education, and ensure that the Global Partnership for Education is fully funded.
