Teloschistes - this is magic, it turns from pink to blue when exposed to sunlight. This lichen dye is fermented in ammonia in the dark for a few weeks.
Hypomyces lactiflourum aka lobster mushroom
Pisolithus aka dead man’s foot - also special fermented dye process to extract. We did shibori embroidery to create the mushroom designs!
My #mushroomdyeing rainbow from The Fungivore’s MyColores adventures this past summer. All mushrooms and lichens foraged with Oaxaca communities & dyed in the mountains w/ @mycopigments.bsky.social. Excited to do it again this summer! #fungifriends #mushlove #fiberarts
