An Afternoon Along the Seine River in Paris It was a quiet June afternoon, and the Seine was calling. The clouds hung low, soft and layered—the way Paris sometimes likes to live her days: a little veiled, a little mysterious. As I stepped onto the path beside the river, I couldn't help but think: this is where it all began. Over two thousand years ago, the Celtic Parisii settled right here by the banks of this river.

An afternoon by the Seine—where every bridge, breeze, and stone feels like a whisper from the past. Walk with me through the timeless heart of Paris.

A Journey to The Bulman: Tracing Ancestral Echoes in Kinsale Yesterday, we went to The Bulman, a cozy pub-restaurant perched in the little seaside village of Summercove, just outside Kinsale. When we planned this trip, we added Kinsale to the list simply because of the name. My husband is a Bulman, and his great-grandfather—also a Bulman—was born nearby, in Mitchelstown. His grandfather, Anthony Bulman, was born in 1894 and left Ireland for America in 1910.

A name, a pub, and an unexpected connection. Visiting The Bulman in Kinsale became one of the most personal moments of our trip.

That’s It: Finding the Heart of Cork at Sin É Pub We passed by Sin É three times before ever stepping inside. Each time, the doors were open, and the music spilled out onto the street like a warm breeze. But it was too full, too alive to squeeze into. Still, something about the place kept calling us back—the blue façade, the soft clinking of glasses, the laughter you could hear even from across the street.

A quiet afternoon in one of Cork’s most iconic pubs, where music and memory linger in the air.

Cradled by Light: A Farewell to Nantes, France Along the Erdre River Path There are places that say farewell for you, even when you can’t quite find the words. Walking along the edge of the Erdre River in Nantes, I felt that quiet grace wrap around me. The air was soft, the light delicate, filtered through a lattice of summer leaves. Grand homes stood in poised silence across the water, their reflections rippling slightly with the passing breeze.

A gentle goodbye to Nantes. This riverside walk along the Erdre held all the grace and quiet of a farewell whispered through leaves and stone. Before heading to Cork, we let the city wrap us in stillness. #ErdreRiverWalk #MyEnchantingEncounters #NantesFrance #SlowTravelMoments #ColmarToCork

A Slow Dance with Colmar’s Fairy Tale Charm We wandered Rue des Tanneurs as if inside a watercolor painting, where time seemed to pause between one breath and the next. The pastel half-timbered houses, each with its own quiet soul, stood like sentinels from another century, their flower-filled windows watching the canal below. The water mirrored it all—the creamy yellows, soft roses, and gentle blues—doubling the beauty in a way that made us stop again and again, just to look.

A quiet escape into storybook streets and watercolor reflections—Colmar offered us the kind of beauty that lingers. #ColmarFrance #AlsaceRegion #FranceTravel #SlowTravelMoments #CharmingVillages #HiddenGemsFrance #TravelWithHeart #StorybookTowns #WanderFrance #MyEnchantingEncounters

Nantes, the Lovely: A Quiet Encounter with the Château des ducs de Bretagne When I first saw the Château des ducs de Bretagne, I didn’t just see a castle—I felt like I was stepping into a story. I’ve seen castles built to protect, with thick walls and heavy gates, made for battle. But this one is different. It’s the first residential castle I’ve ever visited, and you can feel the difference right away. Its shapes are softer, its colors lighter.

A quiet walk through the Château des ducs de Bretagne—where shadows, stone, and silence guard the forgotten stories of Nantes. #Nantes #ChateauDesDucsDeBretagne #HiddenHistories #CastleWhispers #FranceTravel #SlowTravel #MyEnchantingEncounters #WalkWithMe

A Serene Journey to Barcelona’s Cascada Monumental at Sunset We hadn’t planned for another day in Barcelona. But when the April 28th blackout halted all trains, fate quietly offered us a gift: one more sunrise in the city. With Colmar on hold, we wandered instead to Parc de la Ciutadella, unaware that we were about to stumble upon one of Barcelona’s most majestic secrets. The air was warm, soft with spring, and the shadows of late afternoon led us toward a fountain, whose presence stopped us in our tracks.

Bathed in golden light, the quadriga atop Barcelona’s Cascada Monumental glows like a myth reborn. #BarcelonaWalks #ParcDeLaCiutadella #CascadaMonumental #GaudíMoments #TravelWithWonder #ArchitecturalBeauty #GoldenHourGlow #EuropeanFountains #SlowTravelMagic #SpainTravel #MyEnchantingEncounters

Colmar: A Journey Into the Heart of a Fairy Tale Once upon a time, there was a girl who used to wonder what the villages in her storybooks looked like. Well, today—55 years later—that girl walked through the village of her imagination: Colmar. Colmar looks and feels like the village from a Grimm brothers’ fairy tale. And this is Rue Mangold. Here, life has unfolded since the 9th century, around the year 823.

As the light dims in Colmar, the cobblestone streets seem to hold stories, inviting you to explore more. #Colmar #Wanderlust #TravelStories #Alsace #WalkingAdventures #MyEnchantingEncounters #Europe #France

Being Embraced by the Quiet Turquoise Magic of Cozumel Walking along Avenida Rafael E. Melgar in Cozumel is like drifting through a slow, salt-kissed dream. The sea breeze comes steady and cool, brushing past your skin as if to remind you you’re near something ancient. The limestone—pale, porous, and sun-warmed—lines the edge of the island, where it meets the Caribbean in a hush of movement, and transparent shallows give way to shades of jade and turquoise, rippling gently toward the horizon.

A slow walk by the sea, where limestone meets turquoise and time feels like it’s standing still. This is Cozumel—quiet, radiant, unforgettable. #CozumelMagic #WalkingByTheSea #CaribbeanCalm #LimestoneAndWaves #SlowTravelMoments #MyEnchantingEncounters #Caribbean #JadeWaters #Seaside

From Palau Maricel to the Sea: Exploring the Artistic Heart of Sitges You don’t expect to find a palace tucked between the sea and a quiet street. But in Sitges, surprises come gently. I turned a corner, and there it was—Palau Maricel, glowing in the midday light like it had always belonged to this place. Its story begins in the early 1900s, when Charles Deering, a wealthy American art collector, fell in love with Sitges.

A journey through the heart of Sitges, where the white stone of Palau Maricel meets the Mediterranean breeze. From arches to towers, every corner tells a story. #Sitges #PalauMaricel #Mediterranean #Spain #TravelWithMaria #MyEnchantingEncounters

In the Quiet Geometry of Barcelona: Eixample In Eixample, beauty doesn’t shout—it waits quietly. You notice it when you walk without hurry. A building catches the light just right, its stone warm and soft. Iron balconies curl like vines, and small carvings—flowers, swirls, little faces—tell stories you’ll never fully know. Some windows are shut, keeping the day at bay. Others are just open enough for a breeze to pass through.

Eixample moves in quiet rhythms—wide streets, warm light, and the soft poetry of everyday life. Walk with me through the stillness. #BarcelonaWalks #EixampleMoments #SlowTravel #EverydayPoetry #CityWanderer #MyEnchantingEncounters
