New haircut that I hate update: Several @LiberEroFellows and #NACCB2018 friends have told me that they don't think it looks terrible. This is terrible news, because it means my colleagues are engaged in a conspiracy against me. 🤣

Hey @AlongsideWild - I’ve just learned from @ReptileRachel at #NACCB2018 that *multiple individual snakes of different species* hibernate together in big snake pile. Why didn’t I know that? And anything you can do to make me un-know it?
#NACCB2018 @Damien_Mullin_ : “head starting” turtles means collecting wild eggs, hatching them safely in captivity, then releasing them once they hatch and grow. Release has public outreach potential. But does this increase juvenile turtle survival? (Sometimes not!)

#NACCB2018 Jones: “wildscale gardening” is planting local native plants instead of just grass in your yard. Good for local wildlife, and easier to maintain than an all-grass lawn.
#NACCB2018 Stout: studies human attitude towards bats, or “battitudes.” What background knowledge is tied to having pro-conservation behavior among Americans? Being knowledgeable about wildlife in general helps. And knowledge is tied to taking conservation action.
#NACCB2018 Greenspan: Formosan Clouded leopards are the smallest of the big cats. They’re gone in Taiwan but could be reintroduced- but what do locals think of that idea? Urban dwellers support reintroduction more than rural dwellers!

Hi friends! I’m at a conference #NACCB2018 and it’s #SharkWeek . My twitter timeline will be busy. Feel free to mute either or both hashtag(s).
Sorry, but this is a very busy time for my people.
Here’s @Nancy_Baron speaking at #NACCB2018 !
#NACCB2018 opening includes the President reminding us of the code of conduct, stressing the value of diversity and inclusion, and points out that we have a safety officer whose contact info is on the back of all our name tags.
More like this, please.
One of the things I love about conferences in 🇨🇦 like #NACCB2018 is the official welcomes from local leaders of the indigenous community. Elder Sault is talking about his First Nation’s environmental ethic and welcoming us.
